WEEKLY RIDE SCHEDULE
Red Bulb Latte / Espresso
The group takes a casual “Latte’ pace (28- 29km/h) to Red Bulb for a morning coffee with a spirited ‘Espresso’ pace (32+km/hr) on the return ride.
Cyclelife Long Ride
Saturday will be a long-ride (100+ km) with an option for a middle distance turn-off, for those who cannot ride the full distance or have time constraints. In-season these rides typically have an average pace at or above 30 km/hr.
Start time will move one hour later to 8:30am during Spring and Fall (March, April, October, November).
Sundays are typically 55 to 70km with a relaxed pace to the Red Bulb and a quicker ride home with some segmented efforts and sprints. We regroup after the efforts/sprints to ensure no one is left behind. This is a more casual/social ride with the intent to work closely together. Pace is typically 28-29 km/hr out and 30-32 km/hr back.
Start time will move one hour later to 9:30am during Spring and Fall (March, April, October, November).
If you would like to give VRCC a try then Sunday is the best day to join us for a free trial ride. [Due to COVID-19, Guest Rides are currently suspended, however new members are always welcome.]
All rides begin at Allan’s Your Independent Grocer at 1900 Dixie Road Pickering, unless otherwise communicated on our social media platforms.
In 2019, VRCC enjoyed remote start rides including Grafton to Brighton, Presqu’ile, The Hills of East Durham, and In Search of a Winslow (Millbrook Ride).
Remote Start rides will be communicated on our members-only Velorouge Cycling Club Facebook Page and WhatsApp channel.

As well as road riding, our members enjoy riding gravel routes; gravel rides are currently set up on an ad-hoc basis on our club WhatsApp chatgroup.
When not on our bikes, VRCC like to get together over a few drinks or some pub grub and talk about riding. Check the club Facebook page and WhatsApp chat for our upcoming events.
